Creating a MetaMask Wallet

Creating a MetMask wallet is easy and simple, please see the steps below.

Step 1 Download MetaMask Extension

Visit MetaMask.io and download the MetaMask extension for your browser. Most browsers support MetaMask.

Step 2 Creating your account

Once you've selected the option to create a new wallet, you'll be asked to agree on MetaMask's usage data gathering. You can always change it later in your wallet settings. Next, you'll get a prompt to create a password and you will be asked to accept the terms of use.

Step 3 Securing your Wallet

Click the "Reveal Secret Words" button. There, you will see a 12 word seed phrase and will you be asked to verify this secret phrase. DO NOT store these online, as that can always be a potential security risk. Instead, write these down in a notebook or use a password manager to encrypt your password and seed phrase.

WARNING: Never disclose your 12 word backup phrase. Anyone with this phrase can take your Ether forever.

Step 4 Configure your wallet

Once your MetaMask wallet is set up. You can now use your wallet to send or receive different kinds of token directly to your wallet. You can copy your wallet address by clicking the copy to clipboard button right next to your wallet address.
